I got so excited with preparations for International Talk Like a Pirate Day, that I forgot to shave. It makes sense, of course, because pirates don’t shave. Now, days later, when I walk into work this morning a coworker said, “Ryan, your facial hair is ugly.” I responded, “William, when I want your opinion, I’ll ask for it.” 
That was fun to say, and everyone got a good laugh.
Then I thought, “maybe I should shave again?” It’s been a week and a half so far. And then I thought, “I’ll see what the interested readers in the blogosphere think”. That’s you people, BTW. Here’s a poll:

Hello blog readers. This is Ryan’s younger sister, Kristen. Ryan forgot to include in his blog the fact that he attempts to grow a beard on each trip we go on. Each morning he gets up and wonders aloud who he most resembles “Orlando Bloom” or “Johnny Depp”. He’ll ask me that question and I’ll respond with one of the following: you look like “a patient at a mental institution”, “a homeless man” or “the Unabomber”. Today I think he looks homeless.

Kristen, I have to 100% agree with you; he does look homeless, and still disturbingly freaky.
