Not one to buck tradition, so during the flight back to the US form Mexico, I wrote down a few of my new year’s resolutions.
- Develop a convincing English accent
- Visit three more new countries. (See my world travels here – and my Google travel map here)
- Benchpress 365 lbs (currently 295lbs!)
- Learn to bake fantastic bread
- Work at McDonalds for a week
- Direct a documentary
- Make a funny movie for the Gangrene Film Festival
- Become SCUBA certified
- Get my motorcycle drivers license
- Publish three books, including a book of my short stories
- Learn to play three songs well on the guitar
- Sky dive
- Host a gallery showing/open house of my paintings and sculptures
- Buy 1 acre of land and dig a 100 ft deep hole with a backhoe in one month
What do you resolve to do this year?

Alright, here’s how I am going to help you accomplish your goals, Ryan…
Goal #1) It’s already a failure.. sorry.
Goal #2) I’ll simply tag along and take a lot of photos
Goal #3) . . . …. Sure..
Goal #4) I can teach you this one..
Goal #5) I thought that’s where you were going after RMDY!
Goal #6) I’ll be the cameraman
Goal #7) You’re on your own here
Goal #8) This is on my to-do list. Let’s go drown!
Goal #9) Don’t you have one?
Goal #10) I’ll be the first (and last) one to buy them.
Goal #11) Acoustic, or Electric? Either/or, count me in! (even though I’m tone deaf, and, just deaf)
Goal #12) Why jump out of a perfectly good plane? Want some company? This is also on my list of things to do a few moments before I die.
Goal #13) Can I put in my photos?
Goal #14) I thought this was supposed to be 100 acres…..
Ryan! Did you give up on your whole “Gain 200 lbs and be a bouncer for a night” goal from last year? You were making such progress, too!
Catch you later Bro; keep up the ambition!
