And that means it’s time for Fall Preparations. Sorry, CBB, but that requires a list:
- Winterize doors and windows (remove old weather stripping, and caulk– redo)
- Unhook outside water hoses
- Turn off irrigation water
- Winterize Scooter, Motorcycle, Lawn Mower (disconnect battery, remove gas (siphon or run it dry)), cover them or put them in a shed/garage)
- Christmas newsletter/card (take family photo, write news updates)
- Rake the leaves
- Fall fertilizer (get Hunts Pest Control & Lawn Care to spray)
- Garden prep (dig up potatoes, roto-till)
- Put up roof Christmas lights (but don’t turn on yet), get light timer
What do you do to get ready for winter?

1. Make christmas cookies for Rachel
2. Make Rachel homemade christmas presents
3. Clean out the spare room to make room for a baby!
4. Watch old Christmas Movies with Rachel. Inlcuding but not limited to It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th, Home Alone(yes Ryan,Home Alone is old to me,I am eight years younger than thou.
5. Find Candycane hot cocoa!
Kill all the bees… every last flying spawn of Satan.
Oh, and donate some of those cookies to the Needy of sugar (AKA William).
