IT mom and blogger, Susan, recently announced that Barack Obama has purple lips. Says Susan:
Let’s just get this right out in the open: Barack Obama has purple lips. It’s no reason not to vote for him, but it must be said. I can not ignore what stares me in the face. Did he eat a purple Popsicle? As our new Democratic nominee, we must all consider his purple lips and vote accordingly.
No doubt some would consider her comments at best an ad hominem attack, and at worst racist. What do you think? Are they right? Are Susan’s comments just not nice? Not politically correct? Some might argue that his lips aren’t purple, but those people are wrong. 
If we can agree they sport a lavender pigment (and I think we must), then, like Susan, we might ask why. Does he perpetually pound a pack of purple pops? Does he drink grape soda? Maybe he lubricates his lips with berry Chapstick or maybe he drinks a lot of Purplesaurus Rex Kool-Aid? Maybe he’s addicted to Charms Blow Pops? Or perhaps the photos were taken when it was cold out? Does Obama have circulation difficulties? What do you think?
